GBWorst of the Worst Over 20 years working with Telecoms companies, and this is the worst company I have had the misfortune of working with, do yourself a favour and avoid like the plague. They like to champion themselves as the saviour of UK telecoms, unfortunately they are everything that is broken with the UK industry and Ofcom are too pathetic to do anything about it. They make up charges and fees when it suits them and when you ask basic questions like "what’s happening with my port" by citing “extra work” to reply to a basic email. They change prices and add on fees during the contract without informing you. They will block porting requests signed by end users in breach of Ofcom regulations, gaining providers are at a loss as to why the ports are being blocked and have never seen such bad practise. Simon Woodhead endorses and supports these pathetic practises for minor monetary gain and at huge cost to your business.

GBWill Simwood ever port our business phone number? Our new phone supplier has been trying to port our number away from Simwood for several weeks. I have been asked by Simwood to sign several letters of authority (they all looked the same to me). They keep telling us different things each time and it is still nowhere near happening. Our old phone provider (who I have no complaints with) did warn me that Simwood were a nightmare for porting. Boy, was he right!

GBWe've been with Simwood for the last 10… We've been with Simwood for the last 10 years to provide our wholesale numbering and calls. They have always been extremely helpful with any queries and the service has been reliable.

GBclosed our account and charged us for clsoing it , and threatened to loose the numbers if we did not pay we had an account with them with a few ranges of numbers, they advised us they were closing our account and then proceeded to charge us over £600 for the privelage , we also had to pay the new providor to accept the numbers, do not use this company, there are totaly unflexible and if you do not work to how they operate then they charge you , no flexibilty , much better companies to deal with than Simwood.

GBGreat VoIP network backed by great people There a lot of companies in the VoIP space that are either reselling someone else's network, or have hacked together their own network from a poorly thought-out architecture. Simwood on the other hand have made the investments necessary to have a truly best-in-class network. I have used their wholesale product for 5 years, had a great experience, and recommended them to many of my customers as well. The people at Simwood are great as well. Highly knowledgeable and responsive. It's clear that the network has been designed with a high degree of observability, because whenever there are any issues they are immediately on top of it. The sales team that I have dealt with, led by Frazer, is great to work with as well and have been very collaborative in terms of finding ways to address customer needs. This is a special company, extremely knowledgeable in its space and being led by great people from top to bottom.
