Don't go near these folks they are crooks I paid for a software product and never received the software download or activation key. This outfit is like pulling teeth, every time I have to deal with them it gives me a head and stomach ache. This time out I just let them steal my money because no attempt to contact them works. If you want an honest software company go somewhere else

The FTP connects but only reads all and… The FTP connects but only reads all and every file on hmspress.ca as having 0 content, I cannot delete, upload or download any files to update the website. It used to work years ago but now on a secnd and third try it doesnot even accept my credentials or login information. Program is faulty and not useful to me anymore. Why does it not work. Atrocious customer service The product itself is not bad. However, they farm out their customer service and technical support to call centers in India, so it takes at least 12 hours to get a response, and even if you get one, they don't understand what you are trying to ask so you have to re-ask and then get another response 12 hours later still not understanding, and though they are claiming to be empathetic, they offer more politically correct responses that offer NO helpful solutions AT ALL. So you ask again, except this time more emphatically, and they escalate to a "manager" who still doesn't understand, nor provides any tangible practical solution. This has gone on for over a week, while business is being held up, and time continuing to be wasted. I have asked for a refund, and if i do not get it, I will be downgrading this review to one star.

Purchase/upgrade has bugs and can make the application unusable The application works great, but I've had trouble with the program upgrading. I used the free version without issue, then I purchased it and it won't work. Gives me an error and I can't uninstall the original free version. I've been a web developer for over 20 years so I'm highly experienced with installing programs, etc. It's been so annoying that I'm considering finding another solution and taking the purchase of wsftp as a total loss, because I have to have something that works. I've done some research and this is not an isolated issue. There are work arounds posted, so far no luck, but a good product would not require work arounds. It's a shame because the product works great, just your purchase/upgrade functionality is flawed.

As I understand it As I understand it, if I reset my computer operating system I no longer have Ipswitch WS_FTP Pro 12. What a sham. $49.95 for a one-time install. I will never buy this product again. And I will never advise anyone else to buy it. $49.95 for 1 activation. What a rip off. Keith Rose
