Having been a customer at Giganews since 2006, I realized that a) their retention time was getting worse and worse and b) they charged me USD29.99 monthly even though new customers could sign up for 21.99. Old files (+5 years), that I thought was lost forever, suddenly appeared and downloaded perfectly on Newsdemon. At full speed (60 MB/sec on a VPN-connection). And at a much more competetive pricing. Goodbye Giganews - good day Newsdemon. Well done!

Best usenet provider I was subscribed for a long time with newsdemon and i dont had problems. For some reason i had to cancel, and on all this time, when i was ready to resubscribe i gave a try to another providers. I took some free trial with over 7 providers and nobody gave the result i wanted. Short retention, inexistent newsgroups and incomplete files, so i asked myself, why waste my time with that crap when i was perfectly happy with the demon, so i returned to them, and i'm happily downloading as ever.

Newsdemon was easy to purchase and… Newsdemon was easy to purchase and setup. The tutorials were a big help for someone who is new to usenet. I had used their Slickvpn product in the past and after I got an email from Slickvpn with a coupon for Newsdamon I thought I would give it a try. It is amazing what I can find!

Happy customer for 3 years...with a small hiccup I've been a customer for 3 years now and for the first 2 years, everything was perfect. I didn't have to contact them once (this is a rare thing to say). Then they changed the backbone which really screwed up the service as many have mentioned BUT...,despite the hiccup, they provided me an alternative way to configure my software to get the previous experience. It did cost me an extra 40 cents per month but my renewal cost the same price so I'm not going to complain about the small increase especially since it wasn't exactly needed, it is my choice to add/pay for it...and it helps so I'm happy in that regard. The fact that they made this deal shows they care about their customers and I truly appreciate that. Besides this, the service works as advertised...never had a problem in that regard.

Setup was reasonable easy (didn't use the preferred clients). And although download during the day is changing I get to ~20 MB/s download and connection is never interrupted. So far (several days) I'm quite happy.
