I'm not in the U.S. so such cards in other countries/regions typically have stricter usage restrictions. Somehow my Visas only work with Stripe and my Mastercards only work with Paypal. But when I use my Visa via Stripe at Servers.Guru, there is a strange security authentication (aka 3DS) that causes the transaction to fail, which does not happen to me with other merchants. Generally this is caused by the merchant's specific security requirements, which is normal, so that I can simply change to another service provider. But to my surprise, their customer service team adjusted the security level of Stripe for my specific case to ensure that I can use my current Visa to complete the transaction. In addition, they enthusiastically answered my doubts regarding the situation in a great detail. That already seems to be a nuisance to them. However, the unfortunate things have just begun. But you are fortunate with Servers.Guru. The target users of my service include but are not limited to users in mainland China. You may have heard of the Great Firewall (GFW) internet censorship system introduced by the government of the People's Republic of China, which blacklists servers they believe may be politically harmful to the country, resulting in specific server IP addresses/ranges (or domain names) not being accessible from the mainland China region. This is being handled programmatically and algorithmically by an automated review process (like an AI). However, when I created the first server at Servers.Guru, I found that the assigned IP address has been blocked by the GFW before I ordered, which is likely due to the previous tenant of the IP has used something like a VPN/proxy service that violates the Chinese policies. Usually when something like that happens, you pay the service provider for a new IP, despite the fact that the IP they provide does not have basic global network connectivity, but they are indeed not responsible for the Chinese blockades (it is not their fault). However, Servers.Guru initiatively takes the great responsibility to ensure my service is available in any major region of the world. After their manual IP replacement once, it still doesn't work. I just gave them a widely used online diagnostic tool to detect GFW blockade, and I was expecting them to find me an useable IP asap to save our time (when they can do the self-check there is no need for back and forth communication). But what shocked me was that their standard of service was not to find an *Useable* IP, but to find the *Best* IP. They changed and tested about 10 different IP addresses and put them in the tool to see if they can find a best one, and promised me to refund if that still does not work. I mean, I just expect my service to *work*, and that can be simply achieved when the tool shows an IP not in the red color, but they are trying to find me the *best* possible connection. Hence, what I can see from Servers.Guru is the sincerity towards customers, the true service attitude, and most importantly the gesture of good will. So, when you trade with Servers.Guru, you will find that you can get high quality services in an easy and flexible way. Whether in terms of payment or technology, you can always get a pleasant and smooth experience, because what I can feel is that they genuinely stand on your side and wish to solve your problems and satisfy your demands. I'm not getting paid or something similar to write this review. From my point of view, I'm just very interested in illustrating the huge gaps that possibly exist between different service providers. Yes, I'm referring to a company that starts with "Fran" and ends with "Tech" who has a catchphrase for their customers "Best luck with your new provider."
