Reliable website uptime monitoring I'm using HetrixTools for website uptime monitoring. I'm using a number of other uptime monitoring services too in parallel, and HetrixTools seems to be the most reliable: they notify me about even brief downtimes, and they've never sent a false alert.

control freaks They decide what you can do and especially what you can't do. Too many things forbidden. You want to put a bracket in the title of your status report? Nononono, you fool you can't do that. Don't even start with Asian characters. English only, yes sir! Only English-speaking people on earth. Or anyway they're the only ones who matter. And apparently, after asking them, all of this is for my own good. Moving elsewhere soon.
