GBNice for basic wifi while traveling We bought a Solis Lite as an investment for traveling, mostly for on-the-go email and looking up directions to sites/local restaurants. We aren't using to stream movies or upload photos, leaving that to hotel wifi, so can't speak to slow high-data usage speeds. We've used the Global Unlimited wifi in both New Zealand and France; wifi service was consistent aside from expected dead zones, like being underground in the catacombs. Battery lasted a good 8 hours a day. The Solis does take 3-5 minutes to connect to local networks, so we just turned it on as we were heading out the door. Overall, we are pretty happy with our Solis Lite and will continue to use it for future travels.

GBIAN stole our WI-FI Solis gave it back We just had to go through a cable less/ Wi-Fi less month and while we are T mobile phone users and had their hot spots due to towers being down the signal was weak. So I searched and found Solis Lite it immediately got us back online on multiple carriers depending on which window I placed it in!!! We Love Solis, and living in Hurricane prone Fl it’s a must!!!

GBCutting high cable costs I was looking for a solution to cut my cable bill on my motorhome. After lots of research and reading reviews, I decided that the Solis Lite was going to provide me the solution to stream video and audio as well as internet access for my PC. Well, the Solis Lite solved all those issues and gave me a wonderful experience traveling without paying the high cost of DirectTV. The pay as you go is the way to go! Great job!!!

AUThe Solis WiFi dongle failed in 2.5… The Solis WiFi data logger failed in 2.5 years. Solis refused a replacement, mentioning accessory warranty is only 2 years. This smells something designed to fail, immediately after warranty period. Stay away if you want to avoid unnecessary spend.

CANo issues with connectivity in Europe.. Took the Skyroam unit from Toronto to NYC then on to Barcelona, the Provence region of France, Lisbon, Porto then to London before returning home. It performed admirably. Constantly connected and supported mulitple users. No issues with connectivity. Used the global 1GB reloads easily. The unit does get a little warm especially if it is in your pocket or bag so be careful what you have near it (such as chocolate... )
