GBEnhancing Desktop Organization: A Comprehensive Review of Stardock FencesStardock Fences is a highly effective… Stardock Fences is a highly effective desktop organization tool that offers a robust and intuitive way to manage clutter on a Windows desktop. Its primary function is to help users categorize icons and shortcuts into movable and resizable shaded areas on the desktop, which Stardock calls "Fences". This feature is particularly useful for those who have numerous icons scattered across their desktop, allowing for a cleaner and more organized workspace. One of the standout features of Fences is its automatic desktop organization. The software can automatically sort new icons into designated Fences based on pre-set rules, making ongoing desktop management easier and more efficient. Users can also double-click on the desktop to hide or show icons, which adds a layer of sleekness to the overall user experience. Customization is another strong point of Fences. Users can adjust the color, opacity, and size of the fences according to their personal preference, which means the software can be as inconspicuous or as prominent as needed. The feature of rolling up fences into the title-bar only is a unique space-saving solution that maintains access while keeping areas uncluttered. Fences also supports multiple desktop pages, enabling users to swipe between different 'fences', which is ideal for segregating professional tools from personal shortcuts or gaming applications. This can greatly enhance productivity by reducing distractions. The software is lightweight, doesn't significantly impact system performance, and integrates well with Windows 10 and 11, maintaining a consistent aesthetic with the operating system. Its user-friendly interface ensures that even those who are not particularly tech-savvy can easily get to grips with the features. Overall, Stardock Fences is a superb tool for anyone looking to tidy up their digital workspace. It’s a straightforward solution to a common problem, executed with finesse. Whether for professional or personal use, Fences helps maintain a neat, accessible, and more efficient desktop environment.

GBBruh Personally, it was... not great. Mainly DeskScapes. When I first started it up, it prompted me to use a product key or use my account. So, being without a product key, I created a Stardock account and used the other way. Or... "tried to", at least. Everytime I did try to log in with my account, it brought me to another window, saying "this account isn't associated with DeskScapes". I tried and tried again, even downloading another DeskScapes launcher after I created my account, but it STILL wouldn't work. So, I just gave up and clicked 30-day trial instead. Safe to say, my experience didn't go as well as it showed on the website. I just wanted to upload my own gif file as my background, but I had to go to a different website to do that, plus create another account... which is just a little annoying at this point. That's not even the last problem, either. When I picked a random animated background from the DeskScapes window, a moon shining over a moving lake/river as I recall, it showed up as if it was 144p and just left a bad taste in my mouth. Truthfully, I'm sorry to say all of that. I know it's all probably problems on my end, but... honestly? DeskScapes, for me, was pretty bad.

GBvery good program very good program. it turns your desktop into a work of art. You can choose between animated screens, stills pictures, and your own personal photos to make your desktop original and uniquely yours. I have a subscription to wincustomize too which gives you an opportunity to further customize your windows version.

CADeskscapes stopped working Deskscapes stopeed working. This may be because I am using the latest beta of Windows 11. Tried uninstalling and reinstall, uploaded CODEC etc. no joy. Update 3 April 2024 Received response to update the review (or delete) it from Stardock. Try troubleshooting from theior site and still it does not work?

GBGreat animated backgrounds Great animated backgrounds (my preference) with good graphic impact. Though they're loops, the sequence is well meshed and end result is very nice. Looking forward to future releases of more space and natural (sea, forests, etc.) animated backgrounds.
