GBPretty solid toolset for optimization… Pretty solid toolset for optimization and Monte Carlo simulation. Wish the academic/student edition had more random variables, say 100 or so. It seriously limits the depth and quality of MBA cases.

GBI use the product regularly because I find the Excel-based transparency and convenience a nice complement to working in Matlab. I use the product regularly because I believe it is best in class. I think some of the upgrades are too expensive but I have no issue with the quality of the product. I find the frequent requests to confirm the license annoying. I travel internationally and have been locked out of the product when I was having internet connectivity issues. There has to be a moratorium on this (e.g. allow a week, a month before disabling the application). Also, Frontline has been the most difficult vendor for my IT folks to work with when it comes to using my license on multiple machines that only I operate. Again, there must be an easier way. Finally, I did try the consulting service and my experience was positive - worth the money.

BEGreat for optimizations In overall, we are satisfied with the product. We had few frictions due to: - license validation in big infrastructures (with proxies,...) - Instability of the plugin that gets desactivated in Excel - After calculations, the sheets get blinkering (switch betwen sheets, mouse cursor changing state,...) so we have to wait 1-3 seconds before the application stabilizes with some bigger excel files

CANo issues with the software. No issues with the software. But disappointed that we are forced to upgrade to the latest version every time we renew our annual license. Our software does not change so there is no need to upgrade the FrontLine solver, but we are forced to and it is a nuisance.

BRVery good package Very good package, expensive, complex which would require more training process to the beginners.
