MXPoor performance Poor performance, limited email and technical support conditioned on credits, something I had never seen. Web deploy does not work, in new versions of VS it does not allow you to ignore the certificate alert. I was very disappointed

PKOverall hosting experience is nice, with some room for improvement! [EDIT 1/3:] I initially gave them 2 stars, but I agree with their reply that I was satisfied with their overall services; it was just one support reply which annoyed me. And if I ignore that, so I would definitely give them 5 stars. I would, though, keep my original review here unchanged. Before this review was written, I wrote a reply in the ticket system highlighting why I was moving. They clarified the issue and offered me a discount. But I have politely refused that so that my review and these edits remain genuine for both the parties. And I took back my cancellation request, and would keep the client's website with them.[~EDIT 1/3] I moved the website of one of my clients from GoDaddy to Adaptive, as their prices were much better. Plus they offered to host ASP.NET Core apps on Linux, so I didn't have to go for their Windows hosting. The overall experience was nice with solid features and competitive loading times. A few missing things were: 1. I couldn't find the "Web Deploy from VS" feature, though it was mentioned in the documentation. [EDIT 2/3:] There are a couple of pages in their documentation about Web Deploy feature, but I could not find a link in the Control Panel to download the Deploy Profile. It would be great if they implement this, too.[~EDIT 2/3] 2. It seemed that their support operated only during US day hours, which could be problematic for clients from other continents. [EDIT 3/3:]If their technical team is already working 24/7, it's awesome.[~EDIT 3/3] 3. There was no automatic way to switch between the hosting plan durations (monthly/quarterly/annual). I started with buying their monthly plan to be sure what I was getting into, and had an overall great experience. They sent me an invoice for the next month, but as I was satisfied, I wanted to go for the annual plan now due to the price difference: $2.99/mo vs $1.99/mo. Plus, they were offering two months free with the annual plan. They generated a new invoice of $23.92. I had thought that the two free months were in addition to the $1.99/mo price, so I asked them to clarify. To which, I got a mean reply: "If you divide $23.92 by 12 the answer is $1.9933333333/mo not $2.39." The way they included 10 decimal places to $1.99 amount was uncalled for. It seemed as if they were teaching me basic maths. I have been hosting websites since 2008, and have had 20+ domains on GoDaddy alongwith hosting for the past 5 years or so. And I was only moving due to GoDaddy's higher prices. Point is that I am not new in the industry. So, this was not an acceptable response. I kept thinking about this for a couple of days, if I should still go with them for the coming year since their technical services were great. But, then I decided to say them goodbye for now. Since my client wanted something cheaper than GoDaddy, so I have moved their site to another option*. Let's see how that goes! * I am not naming the other option here, so that my review is not seen as one with a motive.
