Ok registrar Ok registrar, but they have just been bought out by GoDaddy, whom I've been trying to avoid. Their UI for DNS records doesn't support CAA records, which is a deal breaker for me. Despite this, customer support was good and the experience generally good. They definitely seem more targeted towards people with many domains, rather than someone with just 1 or 2 domains.

They charge top dollar without the features to back it up. Company in the cayman island that sell domains at "LISTING PRICES" as they say. After buying i found offers for the same domain at 1/3 of what i paid. Customer support wont match price nor refund. Better google for better deals, they have no features that justify top dollar.

Uniregistry - One Star Too Many ! One star too many !! Yes - another unresolved issue - this time over domains classified in their system as expired - but later advised as deleted. If you cannot trust what you see "on screen" that has been system articulated as accurate - then it is simply time - to move on. The difference being now - that they get to collect a $10.88 renewal plus $50.00 redemption fee for each of the 10 domains involved - in lieu of a standard $8.70 renewal. They have the discretion to amend this with Verisign for accidental or unauthorised deletions but failed to do so. Why Godaddy would want to acquire them is beyond me, good luck with that GD !!

Aggressive marketing I showed interest in a domain name and got a price quote from Uniregistry. I never signed up for a newsletter, nevertheless they kept sending me e-mails after sending me the price quote which I declined. A few days later they even sent me a fake email stating that "You inquired about purchasing [x] a short time ago. In the meantime, another qualified buyer has shown interest in buying this domain. Since all domains are unique, when this one is sold there will not be another [x] for you to buy." I don't fall victim for dubious sales pitches. Instead, I reward the seller with a review like this.
