No differences between Google and DuckDuckGo I have done a search using DuckDuckGo looking for information on a trip on Washington DC, a couple of minutes later my wife ( she has never searched for this topic ) has received several instagram message related to the Washington trip. How is it possible ? Now I am thinking that there is no difference between searching on Google or DuckDuckGo

I had spent ages trying to protect my data and stop websites and apps tracking me.its deliberately made different for huge companies financial gain .this Web browser made it loads easier by blocking apps and websites tracking and harvesting data. Very simple to use via the app and means I can use websites etc and protect my data without having to forgot using the net.very ethical. Also improved my understanding of this industry making easier to further protect myself. About time manufacturers made it default browser.

Sometimes results are just flat out… Sometimes results are just flat out irrelevant. Can't say it's a really good search engine. Maybe use it for its advertised privacy focus over Google search or Bing. But I think the results appear to suffer with this privacy focus. I also agree with others who claim some sort of filtering is going on. I also tried DDG Windows browser app which seems really basic and is in beta. For me search results are more important than maintaining my privacy. I don't think DDG balances out the results with privacy.

Worse than useless spell checker This went very well to begin with, Until I tried anything that caught my typos. DDG spots them very well. Just as well as everyone else. with a red line underneath, BUT with everyone else you right click, and get a list of words that the spell checker thinks might be the one. DDG on a right click only offers to do a search for your mistyped word. Try searching for a DDG extension for spelling. -- There isn't one. That alone makes the product a non-starter for me. Such a shame, and such an easy thing to get right
