Thank you and let us know if there is anything else we can help with! “Our goal at SafeCare Software is to leave you with a smile each and every time!” Today I received email from Fastspring.com, headed Safecaresoftware Support stating your payment for subscription to "PCTuneUp PRO" (£18.99) failed. Please sign in to update your payment details and avoid subscription cancellation. Your subscription will be automatically cancelled 18/07/2022. Fortunately I had previously closed my Paypal account to prevent these odd subscription renewals. Until recently I had not realised these dodgy companies were able to auto renew via Paypal, without my knowledge. Beware!!

SafeCare PCTuneUp PRO On very short acquaintance, I found SafeCare PCTuneUp PRO to be simple to install, fast in operation, comprehensive in coverage and quite user friendly, particularly with advice on removal or retention of StartUp programs. However, like Andrew (24 Mar 2021) and Richard Wilshire (10 Mar 2021), I mistakenly bought this software assuming the advertised price of $19.99 was one-time. It turned out the actual price was $31.99 AUD and, in tiny print on the payment invoice, was to be charged monthly. Silly me! However, "obscuring" the fact of monthly payment is not a good look for SafeCare Software. To their credit, SafeCare promptly cancelled my subscription and refunded the first monthly payment when I complained. So their "after the event" behaviour was quite ethical. SafeCare also offers personalised on-line support for the client PC, starting with an initial full review of operations.

Cancellation is a nightmare Cancellation is a nightmare! Charge for PCTuneUp Pro is $21.97 PER MONTH. They promise .99 per month if you ask to cancel. They have numerous company names and many phone numbers. They state they can only cancel by phone request; cancellation emails were promised but not sent until three phone calls. I bought PC cleaning software from this… I bought PC cleaning software from this company. Price was $19.99 I presumed this was for a year - but later noticed that it was only for a month. After checking found that my credit card would be debited monthly - this wasn't made clear at time of the initial purchase. I have been unable to contacted the vendor about cancelling the software. I can't find where to contact them about cancelling. Buyer beware.

I mistakenly committed to a monthly payment I bought this software thinking it was a one-off payment and didn't realise that it was in fact a monthly payment. I am usually cautious about such things but still got caught out. The actual software does the job but not in the way I expected.
