Without wasting any minute, I scheduled a repair appointment for them to come out and assess the issue. The technician arrived around noon, and by 3 pm, our refrigerator was finally freezing again. The problem turned out to be the compressor, and the tech explained that LG fridges often come with subpar compressors from the manufacturer. The fact that my compressor lasted over 7 years was considered lucky. I'll take his word for it and see how long it lasts with the new compressor.
