Couldn't find a company to look at the drive for under $1200 and was looking at a lot more than that for actual recovery (if they were successful). Found $300 Data Recover in LA (they do work worldwide), and though I worked in tech my entire career, don't think I ever had a better experience. The turnaround was fast and I recovered over 90% of my files/data. They check in at every step from receipt to finished product, giving you the option based on preliminary recovery data as to whether you want to proceed or not.
