Minehut is ruined I have been using Minehut to create many servers the past five years, but with the new update they have become way to greedy. They made the free servers only be open for 2 HOURS !! Its outrageous, and straight up stupid, even on the economic side. The reason the server is so great is because of its huge playerbase, and they are going to lose that with the new update Instead of making the time you can play shorter, they should limit the amount of servers pr. Ip adress, and delete old servers.

Recent changes are controversial. Completely understand the limitations minehut has put in place recently. They're a great company and i've always been satisfied with their service. However, a friend of mine started hosting a free server a couple months ago. They never paid, so i understand the time-limit. But not allowing them to download their own world in a zip-file??? And don't try to say you can download each file individually, we're talking about 1000+ files in that case. That's just absurd to me. It screams cash-grab. A real EA-type action that i never expected of them. Very dissapointing! If you're a new player coming into contact with minehut, I would avoid at all costs! There are better, safer options these days.

Getting worse and worse Getting worse and worse. Supposedly "free" servers, yeah maybe for 4 hours a day, and the /vote rewards have been reduced way too much, before to run your server with only vote credits for 1 day you would have to vote for 2 days straight, now it's more like 4 days. The staff will mute you in the span of 4 seconds rather than try to help you with server issues. Minehut won't last very long under these conditions.

Literally a scam I've had a Minehut server for a while and have decided I wanted to switch to a different server host, so I wanted to download my world to put it on a different server just to realize I can't do it anymore with the free plan. This is anti-competitive behavior, to force people to pay to get their worlds off the platform because they prevent users from switching to a different server host. I had to use a world downloader to get it off. I would recommend to stay away from it and use self hosted servers instead if you wanna just play with friends. Running a public server with a free host is probably a bad idea anyway.

Minehut was supposed to die This server hosting sucks. The daily limit is 4 hours THAT'S NOTHING. Every time someone complains about it they say: Free server hosting costs a lot of money. That's true but other server hosters can make good free plans still. I think Minehut should have bankcrupt cuz they now have to make every free plan bad just to stay alive. I think 1 star review is very reasonable. I played on Minehut in 2021 and it was good even better than Aternos. It was a very enjoyable server full of updated add-ons. Now those add-ons are outdated and don't work on the newest versions. That was minehuts best time. Now it's a piece of trash that shouldnt exist. And I do say this as someone who liked it a lot. Now I can't say that.
