Some IMDB votes are more equal than others I would suggest IMDB ratings are fraudulent. We watched (tried to watch) "Smothered", a massively pc, modern and of course hugely UNfunny comedy on Sky Comedy. I went on IMDB, reviewed it and gave it ONE star. Since then, I've checked and mine is the only user rating there. But, the IMDB summary is 7.1 stars! Apparently they use something called "weighted average" which in plain terms means some votes are more equal than others. I will take absolutely no notice of their ratings in future.

Love IMDB....a big fan since 2016 I don't understand the bad reviews here about IMDB. I have been a member there since 2016 and I love it and always loved it. Whenever I want to watch a movie, it is the reviews that I read from IMDB that help me decide if this movie is good or not. 99% of the time everyone is right if the movie is good or not, I truly trust the reviews there. I also write reviews myself, which is fun. IMDB is a very informative site and you get loads of info. I have never had any issues with the site or when using it. IMDB has always been useful for me, when it comes to movies. I seriously have no idea what the folks are talking about when they write their bad reviews about IMDB here.

I used to turn to you for advice on TV and movies, there is not much point now as it is all weighed towards positive social media instead of reality. It’s impossible to find important films or comments, which change on every refresh. You cannot find old comments, the app is updated with bug fixes constantly. As a software developer from the 80’s, what is the problem? Why improve what was good? Look at Attenborough’s Humans? Where is that? It is a bleak portent of our soon destiny. But i guess, as it is not a tear jerker - you don’t bother?

Don’t trust parental guide. I am never trusting their parents guides. They’ll say a show is mild on sxual content (Alice In Borderlands) but there is an extremely disturbing scene in episode 6 and a sx scene in season 2.
