Distant, but oh so special? My husband and I wanted to find a way to give our son and his fiancé a lovely wedding while she was abroad. Great experience Great experience! My husband and I wanted our ceremony to be just us. We lived in different states but were coming together in a state that neither of us lived in to do the ceremony. We had limited time there so we didn't want to go to the courthouse to get a license, wait a day, and then get married in the courthouse. This option was perfect. We could do the licensing process online, and we could schedule our ceremony for the time we wanted. It was everything that we hoped it would be.
