We're a small group of folks in Cincinnati, Ohio. SimpleRegistry was born here in 2010 and continues to grow. Most of the company co-founders also co-founded a honeymoon registry called Traveler's Joy. That site has served over 100,000 engaged couples since 2004. It's still one of the leading honeymoon registries on the web but other people help run that business now. The team is 100% focused on making SimpleRegistry everything we know it can be! We loved it ! We honestly loved this registry. As couple who has lived together for the past five years we have acquired many of the things you would find on a traditional registry. This registry allowed us to have a place our guests could go to for gifts without ever having to go to the store. Our guests loved this option! The only downside is that they take out a fee from each gift after the person gives it. I understand there is a fee to run this service but I almost wish the guests who gave gifts knew that. I understand why they do it that way so that the guests don't have to feel like they are being charged to give a gift. So in the end I totally get it. Overall easiest and best registry experience! We would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone !

Perfect for our wedding registry We liked how SimpleRegistry dealt only with money and we could go out and buy the items ourselves, especially because we weren't sure where we were living and now we're living in a small space that may not be able to fit everything at once. Just be aware of the small fees they charge for each contribution.

Great but a little confusing for people We thought the experience went very well. The only negative thing that we could say is that it was confusing for a lot of people on how it works. They're not used to online cash registries, especially the older generation, and we feel that had an effect on how many people gave gifts. If there was a short video (15-30 second animation) explaining how it worked that would have helped a ton I feel

Worked well for younger people Simple Registry was an easy way for us to avoid getting a ton of gifts we don't need (although we still got a few) and helping us pay for our honeymoon. All of our younger guests and people who regularly use technology had no problem with it, but older folks who don't have much experience in technology were just really baffled by the idea and had trouble using the site. I don't doubt this has more to do with their skills than the site, but does maybe show that not everyone is quite ready to go online with wedding registries. I'd recommend this to a friend without a doubt, but with the caveat that they'll need to walk older/non technically skilled people though it step by step.

Good simple site It was easy to set up, easy to retrieve the payments. The browser link was also simple to work with I dont know how hard was it for our guests to set up the payments so can't comment on that. I guess one addition that you can incorporate is to actually buy the stuff linked with money allocated, though I guess that would require additional prod dev on your side. Its just a thought.
