I Love Shanghai Nuts The US Air Force sent us to The Netherlands for 5 years (1973-1978) and it was an unbelievably beautiful experience for us. Also, I was in charge of a group of Air Force wives who presented a quilt to Queen Juliana in 1976 to celebrate America's Bicentennial and also that the American Pilgrims spent 11 years near Rotterdam before they sent sail for America. We were allowed to visit the Queen at her home in Soestdijk to present a beautiful quilt to her. I fell in love with these 'Shanghai Nuts' while there and love being able to snack on them once in awhile, enjoying my many memories of living in Soest, the Netherlands for 5 years.
