In summary, Jim takes a genuine interest in his customers and does everything he can to provide them an exceptional experience. He called me promptly on the morning after I submitted my online order. He wanted to make sure that the “nice bottle of wine” I purchased would be received safely. Additionally, he took the time to learn about my wine preferences. During our conversation he offered to forward a preview list of a collection he had just acquired. It was right up my alley and it took all the will power I had not to empty my wallet. Provenance is very important and Fine Wine Collector has a good record. I was very impressed with the knowledge about the wines during my phone conversation and the willingness to delay the shipment until an appropriate weather window. Everything was great except shipping Company was great, communication excellent, they even followed up to see that I got the wine. Unfortunately, FedEx ground made receipt a huge hassle. I received multiple delivery notifications, and then the package wasn't delivered on that day. I put a pick-up hold on the package, and it wasn't available for pick-up when they said it would be. The only way I would order from this company again is if they switched delivery to UPS (or something more reliable than FedEx).
