As we are sheltering in place because of the pandemic that has brought all of our lives to a screeching halt, we're trying to stay mentally and physically healthy, trying to get outside once a day for fresh air and exercise, and not gain the "COVID 19" pounds while we are stuck indoors! We These smoothies are a great, healthy way to stretch our food supplies while getting our phytonutrient fix. I am a diabetic, so I use the predominately veggie low sugar smoothies, my husband uses the others. We add a scoop of protein powder and maybe almond milk and a cup of ice. That proved to be quite expensive. No doubt I am eating more healthy with no wasted produce. Easy prep is very appreciated.
