Get real dental insurance Most of the dentists I contacted from the Alligator site did not recognize the Careington POS plan, or Alligator Dental. It is a discount plan, not actual health insurance. When I called Alligator, it went straight to some guy's voicemail. That said, when I went through their help system, they found me a dentist that they work with. The POS plan discounted a deep cleaning from $3300 to $1600. You're probably better off getting real dental insurance, though.

Had a mix up but Altogether helped me out. I signed up because the dentist I was about to visit was listed as a provider. They would not honor the discount card and I ended up paying full price. Turns out the provider had dropped altogether and not informed them. A rep from altogether contacted me and offered to compensate me for the amount I would have been discounted. Very helpful and unexpected. This is a legitimate Company and I will be continuing to use there discount service the next time I need a dentist. I just need to be sure ahead of time that the dentist is in network.

This is a scam This is a scam. No one accepts their discount plan. The company says they help but they just lead you in circles if you ask for help. Cancellation is not easily available even though they allow you to enroll right away. To cancel required completing a google doc and then waiting for a response. Avoid this grease out of a company. You’re better off calling local low cost dentist to request out of pocket estimate prices and getting services that way. Don’t waste your time or money.
