INHighly disappointing! After listening to Sadhguru for years, I looked forward to experiencing what Isha offers. However, the experience right from the Isha health helpline to finally meeting the Isha Doctor was highly and sadly disappointing. I visited their Delhi chapter to meet a doctor on the 20th of April 2024 and here’s what unfolded: - I was misinformed about the availability of the doctors by the helpline. Had to cancel my departure last minute to another city (huge loss of money) as the doctor suddenly became available. It was either that day or an uncertain future. Upon asking about this, the executive replied, ‘it is like that’. - I was charged 50% higher price than what I could see was being charged online for other chapters like Coimbatore and Bangalore. - I had to call up the helpline many times to get the payment link, confirmation, information, etc. as I struggled to make it in time for the appointment as it was last minute. - I have been listening to Sadhguru’s talks for years and recently about the specific issue I was facing. However, upon meeting the Doctor, she didn’t mention even one of the things that Sadhguru talks about tackling the health issue in question. - The Doctor’s approach was unbelievably casual. Her first question was how would I like to be treated – with medicines, yoga or a mix. I said ideally with Yoga, hoping that she would teach me certain Kriyas or yogic techniques that other doctors cannot and for which Isha is known for. She said, ok, so you can go to Coimbatore and give it a try… Give it a try… that isn’t what you want to hear when you are looking for a solution to a chronic health issue. Certainly not after listening to Sadhguru… - So, I asked her what would she recommend as a Doctor, to which she said, she would recommend a mix of medicines and Yoga. Then she wrote a prescription but never talked about any yogic technique or kriya – and it was supposed to be a mix. - When I reminded her of another health issue she wrote nothing about in the prescription, she said, ‘Yes, what’s happening with it?’… another red flag and I answered her again in detail. You have to explain your issues in detail thrice when you go to an Isha doctor – first, a detailed online form, then to the assistant of the Doctor, then the Doctor herself), and yet they ask you – what’s happening with it!. She said, OK, so what do you take for it? And named a common pain alleviating oil which is not even a faraway solution for the problem I have. I know because I have had this specific issue for a few years and have seen senior Ayurveda doctors about it. Then she prescribed the same oil with another one as a casual last minute point in the consultation. - In-between she also made certain generic recommendations about taking things like black pepper which are totally against my Prakriti, without even checking my Prakriti. - At the end of everything, she said, let me check your nadi (supposed to be the first thing that one does in such a consultation), and that is when she checked my Prakriti – after all the recommendations and prescription. - The most disappointing was when I told her about a technique Sadhguru talks about for my specific issue guaranteeing it to be solved in a maximum of 2 months, she said no, it is not like that. Take anywhere from 10 months to a year and that too, it depends from person to person. But you can give it a try. How is this any kind of health solution, that too, Isha specific? The only thing that was positive about it was that everybody involved was polite. But with the whole experience by the end of it, it felt very fake and empty.

GBEasily one of the best investments I've… Easily one of the best investments I've made in supporting my mental health in a long, long time. The team and the treatments have been nothing short of extraordinary.

GB5 Star psychiatric support (MD, DO) .. very personalized Dr. Mai is a horse of another color as is her company. ISHA instantly took 1st place after having dealt with 3 other K providers. Reasons why I chose ISHA: 1.) MD level psychiatric support. 2.) Ability to contact doctor directly via email anytime 3.) Quick follow-up to any questions to doctor or office. 4.) No funny business to hook you in. They do exactly as they say with no surprises. If you are interested in learning about the other providers I considered, here goes: The first two were K injection sites in AZ. Neither Arizona provider had any staff with psych background which I found disconcerting since we are dealing with the psyche. (I was a newbie before this and never took illegal drugs). I spoke with an MD at the first AZ place, but he was an anesthesiologist. This place assigns patients "life coaches" who coach the K experience. I asked about their qualifications. He said, "They like psychedelics" .. What? I pressed further as I expected at least a PA or RN with a psychiatric background. He said I was welcome to look at the website to take a look at the backgrounds of the life coaches. It appeared to me they were dabbling in psychology and ketamine therapy. There was only one in the medical field, others' qualifications were lacking imo. I do not believe a yoga instructor or a massage therapist qualifies to guide the K experience by simply taking a short course. The other AZ K infusion center was o.k, but also had no staff qualified in psychiatry either. I paid the $275 to consult with them, but backed off because my symptoms were not too strong and it would have also been inconvenient with their limited appt. schedule ... that's when I looked into at-home therapy. The 1st at-home provider I looked into was based in NC I think and a national company. Home page says patients will be assigned a "doctor" to monitor the experience. Only after paying the $650 do they even let you know who your "doctor" is. I had a choice of 2 naturopaths, which are fine for some health issues, but when it comes to the brain, an MD or DO in psych has far more training. I was unwilling to risk dealing with a naturopath in this situation. The company responded quickly to my refund request and returned the $650 to my account. A poster on Reddit talked about ISHA being very personal, so I contacted them. I think Mai also has an MBA and it shows. The website was not vague or designed to lure you in. It had good info for patients to make an informed decision. ISHA knows how to run a business and they are almost immediate in their repsonse to questions, whether emailing doctor directly or contacting the office. I'm on session 4 now and all is going well. I am glad I didn't do the more intense IV treatment. 3/4 tranche is fine for me so far.
