This site saved my life! I cannot thank Stdiagnostic enough by presenting the results of my test rapidly and correctly! Here is my story: I had a woman who I had unprotected intimate relations with tell me after numerous encounters that she had Genital Herpes II. Of course I "freaked out" and went to my family physician to get tested. A few days after the test my Dr called me and told me: Yes, you now have Herpes II since the test came back positive and you will now have to tell all of your partners that you are infected with this STD! Ahhh! I was devastated to say the least. After my initial shock wore off and started looking around at support groups, something inside me told me I didn't have this STD. Don't ask me what, but I have never had any type of sores on my genitals (yes I know, you can have Herpes II and not have sores) but I just felt that I did not have this STD. So I found Stdiagnostic and ordered the test for Herpes I and II and was able to walk to their lab from my place of business. A little less than a week later I received the results. And sure enough the test came back NEGATIVE FOR HERPES II!!! So of course I went to my family doctor and presented the print out of the results, and low and behold the first test that was done on me was EQUIVOCAL, in other words it showed a possible exposure but NOT that I had HERPES II and that I should have had a follow up test in 6 weeks before claiming I definitely had Herpes II. I saw another MD at my MD's office since she wasn't around (good thing) and they confirmed my feelings. I DO NOT HAVE GENITAL HERPES II!!! I of course jumped for joy and felt like the world had been lifted off of my shoulders. I also let the Office Manager know that I would no longer see the MD I was seeing before since she handled me with disregard and unprofessionalism that tormented me for weeks! I am thinking about reporting her to the State Medical Board. I'd also like to add that I was just starting a new relationship and was having nightmares on how I was going to tell this new girlfriend (no, we of course had not had intimate relations at this point) And worrying about her rejecting me because of my "disease" that I was wrongly told I had! THANK YOU STDIAGNOSTIC!! You brought me one of the happiest days of my LIFE!
