GBSaved me from SI joint fusion and gave me my life back! I had traumatic fractures of both SI joints with marked instability on the left. I spent months in physical therapy and receiving steroid injections every 12 weeks with no real improvement. In my last ditch effort to avoid fusion surgery I met with a Regenexx doctor for PRP/platelet lysate therapy. I am now 9 months out of my procedure and my results could not be any better. Regenexx saved my life and I am forever grateful.

GBI had great pain relief in my L knee… I had great pain relief in my L knee for approximately 5 months. I think my joint inflammation after time destroyed my stem cells. Whatever destructive process caused my bone on bone arthritis, persisted. I think the key is to decrease the inflammation prior to the stem cell therapy. I don't think more stem cells will be helpful. I still think that it was worth trying initially

GBFDA would approve if valid Never had this done but if the fda doesn’t approve the treatment it’s because it isn’t effective. So people shell out money for an unapproved treatment then write a bad review and say they are ripped off? Well thanks for your reviews folks it has helped me see the obvious.

GBFind the doctor who has a good amount of experience I am 50 year old man with chronic back pain. I decided to try the PRP injections, and took 2 time procedure of Regenexx DDD, which costs me total of $8K. Unfortunately, this didn't work out well, and I wasted my time. This procedure was performed in San Diego office by Dr. Derrington, who's kind, but lack of clinical experience because I realized his diagnosis and procedure turned out incorrect, and his treatment wasn't enough to address my issue.

GBCaveat Emptor 1. I have done same day stem cell injections (twice) plus multiple rounds of PRP in my knees (torn ACLs, meniscus). It worked great. (This was not a Regenexx related facility.) Still skied and played tennis. 2. Due to concern about declining number of stems cell available via the same day procedure, I decided to try Regenexx Cayman cultured stem cell procedure. 3. Everything was professionally done. Cost for phase 1 was $10,500. 4. After cells were cultured, I was advised everything was good, so I booked hotel, air fare, etc to return for re-injection. 5. Ten days prior to my departure, I was advised that only 5 million stem cells were available and that I needed 30 million for the number of injections I needed on both knees. The doctor therefore did not want to proceed. 6. Stem cells were not counted prior to culturing so there was no way to know if I had any expansion. There was no known probability of whether another $10,500 bone marrow aspiration/culture would result in more than 5 million stem cells. 7. I therefore was left with no good way forward and was out $10,500 plus money spent on plane tickets. 8. The low rating is due to the lack of transparency/ expecatation management. When the count was known 4 months prior, I should have been contacted and advised of the issue. Moreover, one would think Regenexx would have an idea of whether a 30 million count is common, particularly for my age range. 9. The bottom line is I can’t recommend Regenexx Cayman due to either a lack of knowledge of metrics for stem cell counts and more importantly a failure to relay likelihood of one having the number of stem cells needed after culturing. If 5 million per round of culture is the likely outcome, I would have to pay over $60K and then the $12,500 for injections. 10. Maybe that is something some people will pay, but I decided to cut my losses and walk away. I wish FDA would approve cultured stem cells in the U.S. as I believe there would be greater rigor applied to the process. For now, caveat emptor.
