MCARE does not cover weight loss meds…… As a retiree I was shocked to learn that MCARE does not pay for weight loss meds. No coupons or discounts work! The only choice I had if I wanted to lose weight taking the popular weight loss injections available now was to find a pharmacy that compounds the drugs AND a doctor to prescribe them! Hence I found Brightmeds! This has been such a rewarding journey for me. Everything is done online using my health history, current meds and virtual visits from the doctor who prescribes compounded Zepbound monthly. I have lost 25 lbs n look forward to continuing my weight loss experience w Brightmeds! Any questions or concerns are quickly and fully addressed by their team. I couldn’t be happier!
