Despite displaying credit card logos on his emails, he asked us to wire funds to his account. He claimed his POS was not working. We discovered he had other people do this as well. He was able to provide credit card services eventually once we pressed him that we simply didn’t have time to walk into a branch office nor were we comfortable sending money without insurance. After weeks of no responses, and an unfulfilled contract, we reported to Better Business Bureau for investigation.

As an affordable alternative, he connected us with a surrogacy program in Colombia. 18 months later, we had a beautiful and healthy daughter at about 1/3 of the cost if we had done it in the U.S. There were some cultural differences and communication challenges working with Colombia but, at the end of the day, we got exactly what we wanted from the program.
