GBMy 5 Star Review on 100 Shades of Gray! The photo quality of the black and white prints were equal to new studio quality on an original print. I wish they had a cropping tool to size down photos online, but they do have the main controls such as contrast and dark controls. It was reasonably fast, maybe a week. I wanted colors in black and white that were true and will not fade like color chemicals, and I will upload more digital copies to print once I get my son to crop some old family photos down to size. I highly recommend this company.

GBFirst First, Fromex has an easy-to-navigate website. Also, their instructions on image submission are easy to follow. Finally, the B&W enlargements look great. All that and their pricing is quite reasonable. I'm impressed.

GBThe difference between screen view and… The difference between screen view and finished product-in terms of exposure-is more than I am accustomed to. Typically I brighten about 10-20. Fromex requires about 30. Also, some of the images are actually less sharp than drugstore printing. If you use a true b&w process, I am not sure if you are creating a negative or how you process, but in my mind the images should be a bit sharper.

GBWOW! Better Than I'd Ever Imagined! In the mid-90's I gave up my B&W darkroom but, sadly, I left behind some unprinted difficult-to-print negatives. Fast-forward to 2022. I decided to find a service which would digitize my b&w negatives, then find a quality lab to print the edited images. I am so happy to report that Fromex exceeded my every expectation re: the quality and price of the service. And the speed in which they fulfilled my order blew me away. Now I'm left wondering "What if I'd saved more of those difficult negatives...?"

GBBrilliant results After dithering for over a year, I finally ordered three true B&W prints at 10"x15" from Fromex. Each of these were older landscape images from my now-obsolete Nikon D80. IMHO, the results were brilliant. Obviously, no color tinge at all, but that's to be expected. Added grain came through as expected. Images without grain came through without grain. Just what one wanted. I'll be printing off more of my library of prints with these folks in the near future.
