The site just overall lost all originality and personality it had in the 2010's, where you could personalize your own page as an attempt to oversimplify everything and look like ArtStation. You suck.

Greedy for money, useless membership, stupid ToS Greedy for money, removes pretty much all mature content. Has insanely stupid ToS regarding nudity and intercourse. Core membership is useless, and why would anyone buy one piece of art for $5? People still upload ripped content (especially real person photoshoots) Favorites can't be set to private, even if you remove the widget from your page people still can access it with the typical /favorites link

Ran by a bot Overall thought was a good place to post art, but terrible customer service, I upgraded to core membership to change my user name but kept getting an error, I contacted them about 5 times and no reply so I cancelled the subscription and went else where. I think it’s ran by a bot.

deviantart staff are very scummy corrupt people DA staff literally scam and steal people's money I was one of the victims they would steal your cards, private information, anything to make a dime then ban you, they love stealing your information and refuse to say anything, its utterly a scummy and illegal tactic they've been doing for years, and I'm surprised no one has filed a lawsuit against the site and company behind it.

same as everyone else (i'm quit) i am deviantart user for 5 years but only active for 3 years. why tho? same as everyone else (yes, i'm repeating the title), the site becoming unusable right after eclipse replaces the old design around 2020. additionally, i despised to AI-generated "arts". so i'm include the reason why i'm quitting from the website.
