Financially fine, ethically not Pond5 teamed up with generative ai databases without explicit consent from their artists. I do not trust them as a business. Their financial practices have been fine, but I cannot trust a marketplace for artists that will team up with genAI projects without prior consent from the artists on the platform.

POND5 always has what I'm looking for POND5 always has what I'm looking for. I was producing a music video and was in search of thematic clips to support the song lyrics. In this case, it was older/vintage footage harkening back to the 60s/70s; vegas, the old west, gambling - then some alter-thematic elements relating to gears/industrial. In each instance, the sheer wealth of options around each topic was remarkable. POND5 seems to have amassed a collection that is unrivaled. Their search parameters are the best in the business: you like something? click on it and numerous other clips in this exact vein will be provided. Also helpful were the downloadable water-marked clips so that I could try them in my video to see if they were exactly what I needed...that's really really helpful. Above all of that, the filtering options (price, relevance, format, etc) are industry pro. I set mine for price because I was working on a tight budget and was easily able to find every single piece I was looking for with ease and at an affordable price. POND5 is simply the best.
