The most toxic social media experience ever! My brief time with 9GAG had to be the worst social media experience by far. The platform is polluted with hate and is not a welcoming online environment for newcomers. It is infested with bullying, hate, and trolls who do not appreciate uniqueness, individuality, or creativity. It a rigid platform that does not welcome forms of creativity other than memes, whatever they see as "funny," political posts, whatever is "trending," and various forms of hate. I would never recommend this platform to anyone who is a creative who is not a cookie cutter, carbon copy of everything else that's "in" today. It also is an inconvenience of a site as it will not allow me to post more than video, nor can I post more than one comment, even if it's a simple thank you. I was already somewhat discouraged due to another social media experience but my time with 9GAG has left me feeling even more discouraged. This toxic environment is inexcusable and unacceptable. It would certainly not be good for anyone who is easily discouraged.

Worst website on the Internet 9Gag disguises itself as a harmless meme site, and at first glance it looks like one, because there are a lot of meme posts that are mainly automated by bots that steal content directly from other sites like reddit. But at some point you stumble across a lot of political posts that clearly represent a far-right position. Often, migrants and ethnic minorities such as black and Middle Eastern people are dehumanized, one-sided and biased views are presented and the comments are full of extremely racist people, such as white supremacists and Neo-Nazis, who openly call for racist violence and genocide. The administrators of this website absolutely do nothing to stop such hateful comments, in fact they tolerate it. This app is incredibly dangerous as it not only normalizes an extreme, racist environment, but also radicalizes new users with racist propaganda.

This may as well be tiktok. This may as well be tiktok. No new memes, no funny memes. Extremely toxic userbase. This site has been spiraling for quite a while and now it's just a cesspool of negativity and toxic chat behavior.

A decade of dedication, destroyed Well, that's it. After 10 years on 9gag I decided to leave. It wasn't due to the dark humour or political posts but because of their soul crushing adverts that can not be skipped. To make it worse, they play the advert audio over the posts. Guess I'll have to interact with real people now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thanks a lot 9gag
