Chorda Chorda, Ordered 12/19 (Surprise it ships from Hong Kong) Received DOA unit that would not charge 1/2 First communication to support for help 1/3 Given: Try this, then this, then this, nothing works. Informed I needed to have a Windows or Mac PC when I am chromebook and Android only. 1/4 Go buy a windows PC for a non functional unit, I am out $200 for the PC I don't really need but this unit somehow requires, which is stated no where on the website or in any marketing material at Artiphon stating a Windows PC is required when you first receive the unit and when you perform the required firmware update. 1/5 finally recieve permission to send the non functional equipment I purchased back and a shipping label. 1/6 Send email to Artiphon, No reply, Shipped via UPS store back to Artiphon 1/7 In route to Nashville 1/8 Arrives in UPS Facility in Nashville 1/9 Loaded into delivery truck 1/10 No Status 1/11 No Status 1/12 No Status, Sent email, No reply 1/13 No Status 1/14 No Status 1/15 No Status 1/16 No replies to email, no status on unit. How would anyone not feel defrauded? This has been a horrid experience and not what was promised by Artiphon, why would anyone treat customers in this manner.

ORBA 2 as a sampler/sequencer I don't use the ORBA 2 as a musical instrument for concerts. More like a VERY portable sampler/sequencer. And in that effect it works great. I make experimental music and I can make layers and beats when and where I want ! Would be nice to have more drum presets or to sample our own... Any upgrades to the software on the way ??

The Orba arrived quickly after I… The Orba arrived quickly after I completed the order, and worked as described. The only glitch was that, when I followed the instructions to update its software, it wouldn't turn on or do anything. Fortunately, a techie responded to my message and, following her suggestions, I did get it to turn on again. She said sometimes it doesn't successfully upload the software and then goes into a "deep sleep" mode.

Bad Kickstarter experience with Orba project (still waiting after over a year) Backed the Orba project on Kickstarter. After more than a year of waiting I have still not received a tracking number or estimate for delivery time. Apparently there are still hundreds (if not thousands) of backers who have not received the unit, while it is already commonly available in shops. Based on comments there were also problems in the previous Kickstarter project. Avoid.

Build quality seems nice Build quality seems nice. Software can be finicky, and not allowing USB connection to iOS at this stage is real poor form. Being forced to connect to a laptop kind of limits the portability. I cannot figure out how to get my input not to slave to the set BPM, so I'll tap out a beat, but it is always different in playback.
