GBI like that it was a different type of… I like that it was a different type of project - something you may not typically see (cross body bag). Personally, though, it's not something I would use (it also looks pretty small for that type of bag). I also didn't care for the fabric design (floral), but that's personal preference. I did, however, really like the type of fabric (canvas) - the weight makes for a nice sturdy project.

GBGreat idea - Horrible Quality & Value With A High Price Tag. As a very seasoned sewist that both quilts and manufactures products on a professional level, I expected WAY more than what has been received. When I signed up, it was for that "extra little project" for my private stash - something to do on the side when I have spare time... I was not aware that the box was designed for beginner sewists who may not have a clue as to the value (or lack thereof) of what was inside. Once I figured it out, I reached out to the company to inquire further and cancel without success. I've received two so far and at a little over $40 a box - not worth it. The monetary value alone is half that and I too agree with the sentiments of others - the fabrics are poor quality, as were the "tools" included. If the goal is to introduce folks to sewing, this is a great idea/concept if executed properly, but with a very misleading subscriptionand at this point, comes across very deceptive. I subscribe to several sewing boxes and by far - this is the most expensive - with the absolute worst quality. Ugh. Beware.

GBA Box Of Joy This is just a box of joy delivered to my mailbox! My first Sew What Box was a delight to make with easy written instructions and a visual tutorial available on-line. I love everything about this subscription from the cute box, to the lovely fabric, thread provided and even a new sewing needle! Customer service is awesome too!

GBGreat idea, execution could be better For the price I did expect better fabric selections. They quality was fine, but I was a bit disappointed in the plain grey and the pink polka dots. Also my fat quarters were honestly just two rather ugly small prints while I noticed that most people who have posted seemed to have gotten a pretty flower print and one of the other of the two I got. I don’t know if maybe you ran out or if I got those two by mistake. I’m hopeful that the next box will be better.

GBFantastic Company! Great company! My wife just started her 3rd year as a member and loves the projects and patterns. Communication and problem solving have always been prompt and respectful. Can't wait to see what comes next month.
