Website is designed to confuse and defraud The website is designed to make you think you are registering your pet's microchip but then diverts you into buying unrelated products. I thought I was paying to register the chip (which you shouldn't have to do if you have already purchased it) and receiving a tag in addition to the registration. In fact, I was only purchasing the tag. I emailed to cancel the purchase within 5 minutes, but my card was charged immediately and when I called the next day they told me it had already been processed. When I told them I would file a complaint with the FTC they refunded the money. I have received texts and emails asking me to come back to the website and register the chip. Edit with reply: I think you know exactly what you are doing: misleading people to purchase things. I am sorry that this business model works. I appreciate the refund and wish your employees well.

Rehomed pet is covered now I recently accepted ownership of my sweet pup from someone who needed to rehome him due to space issues (the home, not the pup). The official transition of Prince’s records did not go smoothly and I came to learn, from PetKey to whom I was referred when I investigated, that the original chip # was never registered with any other tracking company. The PetKey agent was very calming and reassuring in the registration process and now I trust that if Prince gets lost, it will be possible to get him home to me, quickly. The chip manufacturer confirmed to me that PetKey was a good provider to use.

My experience was very good other then… My experience was very good other then the fact that I never received any paperwork that Shia my Golden Doodle is microchipped and is in the database to be found anywhere. I did go to my email and print out my receipt. Other then that no issues. I just want to make sure my dog was indeed in the database.

I had not been able to find a vet… I had not been able to find a vet taking new clients until I called the Cat Clinic in Redwood City. My cat was put on a 6 week waiting list and within the time period she was able to be spayed, get a flea tratment, first vaccines and toenail trim all at the sam appointment and at a reasonable cost. I’ve just taken her back for her second vaccine shot. The staff are pleasant, professional, caring cat folk. I am very grateful to have discovered The Cat Clinic!

The name tag was in fact very cheaply… The name tag was in fact very cheaply made for ($15) and I too feel fleeced because when I typed in the company the humane society gave me Pet Key popped up. I like others didn't realize it was not associated with the original company and they got my money. I have never heard of yearly renewal fees in all my years of microchipping pets. Seems like a scam to me. Hoping my pet is truly protected.
