Black bucket bag started shredding I purchased a bucket bag about 15 years ago and rarely used it - it was a special occasion type piece. Loved the purse but recently the leather started “shedding” - meaning the leather seemed to have a stamped design and these small dots started falling off leaving a gray looking color on the purse. Would not spend the money on this brand again. Was purchased at a Lancel store in Tampa, Florida.

Awful service Awful service. I bought a bag at a Black Friday price, Lancel provided tracking, but never gave the bag to DHL. I was trying to contact them for many times through e-mail, but they respond once in a week. They never shipped the bag and offered a refund. I explained that I bought an item at a discounted price and I want to receive it - the bag is still available on their website. No response within a week. Awful, will never buy again here.

I use to buy Lancel products.... but that is the pass I use to buy Lancel products for my partner at the time and my mother as they loved their Lancel handbags. I went to buy for about a thousand euro a limited edition bag at the Opera boutique (which has models or had models that most other of their shops don’t have) in Paris and it was a pleasant visit. However it turned sour when payment was made which went through but about three minutes later their machine came back with an error on the transaction on their system and they could not honour the sale for an unknown reason which I understand was not in the doing of the salesperson but of the French Banque! (Fifty fifty chance of it going wrong but that week or so the fifties made a hundred at Lancel) Being a British Sterling Pound card and account it was easy to see that the money was pending and the amount was held by my bank to honour payment. We went back to the UK the next day and after a few days the money was deducted even though it should not have....well!! je ne sais pas pourquoi! by La French Banque Lancel. Quick Call and it was confirmed that the money was being refunded by the bank which it did a few days later. Anyway she wanted the beautiful french bag, so I made a call (in french) to the Opera boutique, Had a chat with one of the managers at the time and she was much ‘helpful' until I said to her just before giving my bank details that I suffered about £40 loss in the transaction the week earlier or so because of the currency exchange after their bank mishaps, so I would expect gesture from them by them covering for delivery cost (which were about €40 at the time). The phone went dead. I phoned back thinking of some error or technical issue. A saleswoman answered and said she would pass me over to the lady. She went upstairs with the phone saying it was me and to my surprise I heard the lady saying "I don’t wanna speak to Monsieur he has asked for us to pay for the delivery charge", the poor young lass I could hear thought for a second what can I say to the lad on the phone now but to add insult to injury once she realised that I heard every single word her boss had said. She hung up like that old thing did 5 min before. I complained to them and their parent company ( at the time) but excuses and denial were more of their virtues than good customer service. We were so shocked that the partner (at the time) stopped using and started selling her Lancel bags and co so did my mother. I've never, they've never along with friends ever bought or set foot into one of their shops again. I get better service from Tesco
