I also paid up front I was instructed to pay for the service with a check and the form and then someone would come get it and start it took so long I thought I had gotten ripped off but then they came out and did a great job

In the meantime we ended up selling our home and did not think about alerting Curb Appeal not to paint, Sorry, they were not on the radar of services to cancel when selling our home! Anyway, they did come and paint on a curb we no longer owned and would not go to the current homeowner to be paid. I agree that we said to come back the following year, but some sort of email reminder that they would be in the neighborhood would have been appreciated as a reminder for us to say that no, our circumstances had changed. We received nothing except a bill that they had painted the curb and expected to be paid. They were unwilling to concede that this would have been the appropriate way to handle this ongoing business. I have paid them, but really I don't think that I should have.
