GBUnethical Seller: Refusal to Address Faulty Rug, Violation of Ohio Consumer Law We would like to comment on the seller’s below reply to our first review, and unfortunately, I must express my disappointment with the lack of integrity and responsibility demonstrated by the seller in addressing our issue with a faulty rug. Despite the clear evidence of the rug’s defects, the seller has continuously refused to take appropriate action. To set the record straight, we have never once refused to return the faulty rug. On the contrary, we have been diligently trying to resolve this matter since our initial contact with the seller. Our email dated 9 March 2024, requesting assistance with the return, remains unanswered to this day. This lack of response is unacceptable, especially considering the faulty nature of the goods. Additionally, we would like to comment on the seller’s reply to our first review, where they claimed we refused to return the rug. This assertion is simply untrue and serves as a further example of the seller’s misleading statements. Under Ohio consumer law, it is clear that consumers have rights when it comes to receiving defective products, and the seller’s actions are in direct violation of these rights. Instead of taking responsibility for their defective product, the seller has attempted to shift the burden onto us by insisting that we cover the return shipping costs. This is not only unjust but also goes against consumer rights. The seller even went as far as providing a private address of a friend in Birmingham, who was not involved in the original sales transaction. This absurdity further highlights the seller’s lack of professionalism. The UK bank has unfortunately suffered a loss due to the seller’s unfair and deceptive sales tactics. It is appalling that the seller would choose to engage in such behavior, disregarding their obligations to conduct sales in accordance with consumer rights. Moreover, the seller has suggested that we pay for return shipment, which would amount to hundreds of pounds due to the rug’s weight of 10kg. Given the lack of trust instilled by the seller’s actions and their unacceptable sales policy, we are understandably hesitant to invest further funds into this matter. In conclusion, the seller’s refusal to acknowledge the faulty nature of the rug and their attempts to evade responsibility are highly disappointing. I caution future buyers to be wary of this seller’s unethical practices and disregard for consumer rights.
