Are you a small Youtube creator? RUN!!! If you are a small YouTube creator who finances their channel through Patreon, the occasional sponsored video or affiliate links... *RUN!* After 20 hours of editing a video with a sponsored segment that was due on a certain day and uploading it to the YouTube studio, the video gets flagged with two copyright claims for MusicBed songs. When I go to clear them (which I shouldn't have to do to begin with), I am told that "The claim is not showing up on our end" (weird...) but also that "Because this channel's description has multiple links out to products/courses for purchase, an upgrade to a Business-level Subscription is needed to keep this video up and continue posting." As a reminder, the "individual plan" is advertised as "Perfect for freelance filmmakers, wedding filmmakers, YouTube creators, and podcasters." and covers "SOCIAL FOLLOWING Up to 250K subscribers, DISTRIBUTION : Web/Social, Podcast and Includes Monetization" But the best part comes when MusicBed describes what "links out to products/courses for purchase" are problematic. The two links that MusicBed wants me to remove are links to the channel's website and the channel Patreon's page. And what does MusicBed think I should be paying to have those links up in the description of my videos? 100$/month, ie 3x the cost of the individual plan supposed to be "Perfect for freelance filmmakers, wedding filmmakers, YouTube creators, and podcasters". MusicBed, you should really be clearer about who can buy your products and which one. Because if you are going to sell a service to a Youtube creator, you better believe that a lot of them will have a Patreon account and a website and probably even have the audacity to place those links in the description of their video... Now, as a result of MusicBed's shenanigans, my video containing a sponsored segment is late to publish, which is resulting in a penalty on the fee I receive. What a way to support creators MusicBed!!!

Shady business - stay away They trick you into paying for a month, but it turns out they lock you into paying monthly for the whole year. There is nothing you can do as a consumer - shady business! On top of that, you can't cancel until 1 month before the renewal..they are making sure people keep paying even if they don't use the product. I paid > $300 for a couple of tracks I used for 1 video.

This is my first time licensing music… This is my first time licensing music through anything, and Musicbed has, so far, made it an extremely easy and pleasant experience. I had a bit of a mix-up in terms of what subscription I needed for my license, and while it took me a few days to get on top of it, the CS reps were extremely helpful and there were no contentions or issues over the state of the subscription when I had to cancel one and transfer my licenses over to another. The CS reps were personable and polite and, despite delays in the service and a few inconvenient things about the website itself, I never felt like I was speaking to a robot or trying to contend with some sort of language barrier. I would suggest, however, a clearer means of adding subscriptions to your account via your profile on the website. I had to go around the front-end of the site to make a new subscription after hunting through my profile for an option to do so. It was also a little stressful when the Musicbed site said I could cancel my subscription from my profile but there was no option to do so. I suppose you have to contact them directly to do so? I wish that had been more clear, as well. Other than that? I will continue to use this service gladly. The cost is reasonable, the assortment and quality of music is very good and so far the CS has been satisfactory. I recommend using Musicbed for licensing if you're just starting out.

Been using Musicbed for several years… Been using Musicbed for several years now and they have undoubtedly help my business in a large way. They have some of the best music in the industry for commercials, social media, and even YouTube. I appreciate that their business model also considers the success of the music artists who create songs for the platform and not just the editors/companies. Would recommend this platform to anyone looking to license high quality music for any project.
