Not great for buyers I have previously had a really good experience with Vinted but recently, it's become more and more expensive to buy items. The 'buyer protection fee' is an absolute joke - you have very little protection as a buyer on the app. The final nail in the coffin was when I bought an item that was never sent. Using the help guide online I cancelled the order, in order to generate a refund. I have received negative feedback for cancelling (despite the help guide twlling me to do as such) but the seller has recieved no repercussions for not sending the item. I used to use the app all the time but this experience has definitely made me change my mind

To much shipping cost, otherwise great I love everything about Vinted except one thing. The shipping costs too much! Whenever I find something with a good price that I like. When I go to shop now th shipping costs more than the item itself. That’s crazy and they take buyer protection fee too

well well, good that they are doing the business for sustainability and stuff but whenever I pass by their headquarters in Vilnius, so many employees drive in and out with a diesel car or a crazy Ferarri.. whatever car that looks kinda bad for their environment. which I think it's a bit funny. Also whats with the buyer protection fee? Whats the rule?? 1 euro protection fee for a 3 euro shirt with 3.14 shipping fee???? So high compared to what I buy and shouldn't I at least be able to select if I want to be protected or not?

A functional App to use for buying and selling A functional App to use for buying and selling. Its both automatic and customer service systems work out well. I had three items that were sold were lost via post. My buyers got their money back, and I got paid too, thanks to their protection plans. I received one damaged item, reported the issues immediately with photo evidence, the seller accepted the refund and paid the postage within Vinted App, so I sent it back to them just as they bought it from me, with my payment refunded in time after they had received the item. I wrote to customer service a couple of times as the app did not load. They answered pretty quickly and committed that they were trying to improve the app. Other issues, such as when similar but not the same products uploaded were deleted, were dealt with almost immediately when appealed. Overall, if one follows the procedures on Vinted, it provides fast, responsive, and enjoyable purchasing and selling experiences.

*BUYERS BEWARE* Unfortunately, all the reviews stating that the platform is great for sellers, but does not look after buyers has been my experience (and that of others I know). I had the wrong item sent to me, seller was apologetic and agreed to send the correct item once they’d received my return. Instead, they refunded and (with no explanation) blocked me. All of our communications had been pleasant and there was no reason for this, except I suppose to avoid the risk of my leaving a less than 5* review. My sister had a similar experience, buying a “100% cashmere” jumper that turned out to be a cashmere/wool blend and full of holes. She returned the jumper at her expense and, having had a full refund, was then not permitted to leave feedback. So, Vinted’s 5* sellers are often not 5* at all. And Vinted don’t seem to look after the interests of buyers at all. BEWARE! I won’t be shopping on Vinted anymore, unless they start offering buyers more protection and making dodgy sellers accountable. I am heading back to eBay.
