GBBeware Beware! This company is a broker that contracts your move out to another company for delivery. We contracted with them to move my daughter from NC to Cambridge, Mass for law school; I was clear in my contract and communications that we needed delivery set for sept 1st or 2bd. Her items basically included one room of furniture. The first mover, who’s name I do not remember assessed my items and wanted to charge an additional $1,000 over the original estimate. When I refused to pay, they informed the folks at Everest that they would not be completing my move because I treated them poorly. The next mover arrived 2 days later and collected our items for transport. I confirmed that they would still be able to deliver within the desired timeframe and they confirmed that they could. I flew from NC to Boston, on Friday, Sept 1 to help my daughter settle in. It is now Monday, sept 4th, 3 extra nights in a hotel, and two airline ticket changes later and we still do not have delivery. As I head back to NC, still with no delivery, I am told they will arrive later today. What’s most troubling is that when I contracted with Everest, I was assured that they would handle the full move and the price and delivery date would not change. Yesterday, I learned that once the delivery changed hands, I was actually under contract with the actual movers and not Everest. I have to admit that I was warned by two actual, full service movers, that this could happen. My biggest regret is that I did not listen.

GBOverpaid: Refused to deduct 2nd deposit amount Bad. It's a broker who hired a moving company who hired a third party owner operator. Poor communication with me and between parties. Would not deduct $1372 in payments despite the fact I had receipts proving the 2 payments. The first attempt to overcharge was a call AFTER MIDNIGHT. Threat to hold my items hostage for 4 more weeks when I asked to talk during the day Days and conversations ltr they took the larger payment off but tried to claim it as "giving a break" when it was not. Refused to take off the $372. I eventually payed the extra 372 under duress after they had screamed at me, hung up on me, threatened to hold my items 4 more weeks, suggested my stuff would end up broken, and claimed they would charge me 1,000's and 1,000's of more dollars. I was told I would be given a corrected invoice upon drop off but it wasn't provided. I sent 4 messages b4 Everest called me. Again Jacob was supposed to send me a corrected invoice. They tried to charge me an extra 1372 amd Eventually got an extra 372 I DO NOT OWE -- and they got it by wearing me down w/ many threats. And I DID have one vintage tall carousel statue come back broken.
