Choose a different relief company My experience with Guardian started off as a happy one. I was referred to the through another company, Acceptance Financial. Once in the program they collectively gather your payment to to create a sort of kiddy to pull money from while they make payments on your accounts. They negotiate your payment to save you money but get this: they wait until your debts go into collections before they negotiate a settlement. So concurrently your credit rating drops. This is explained but not in detail to why they do what they do. As I re searched, other debt settlement companies operate not ina way where you're not suffering a credit loss. It's a quick fix. Fixing dent is not a quick fix and we gotta realize that. In my experience, I had a manager that didn't even look at 2 of my accounts until I called to complain. In doing so I discovered that after 5 months, they didn't even have my account numbers. I explained this to several team members because when you call, you never not ever, speak to the person handling your account. Does that make any sense? In other words every phone call you make you have to bring someone up to speed as to why you're frustrated. Finally I got so upset the agent working on my account gives me a call. He begins by re explains what every manager has already explained. I simply wanted to know had he started working on my account. He responded by saying sorry it went into collections but that's perfectly normal. He further condescends me by saying "I would not be in this issue if I was paying my bills " ..this is the kind of front row first class service that mades me a truly unhappy client. They've since given me someone else... Too little too late. I have nothing but contemot for those practice. They collect my monthly payment and act as if I am a fool for complaining. If I had done my research better I would have used National Debt relief. Debt is not a fun, but we are making ourselves poor Stuarts of our finances with quick fixes. Guardian is a quick fix that will cost you 27% monthly going to them

It's interesting this company has a 3.8… It's interesting this company has a 3.8 rating, but has two reviews and is rated as "great", which should tell you something off the bat. I was struggling with debt this summer and researching options. I had originally applied for a consolidation loan through this company, but was told I didn't qualify, but did qualify for their debt resolution program. I spoke with Eli, I asked him several questions, discussed my concerns about impacts to my credit score, needing to purchase a car in a year, etc. Eli told me my credit would suffer (which I knew) in the beginning, but within 8 months, it would heal and bounce back because my accounts would reflect as being settled. Once I enrolled in the program, communication decreased, no one would respond to emails and when I received my monthly "check-in" call, it was with someone different each time with a new "welcome" call & information that differed from the previous month. Five months later, my credit has decreased nearly 100 points, they have settled one small account, I've had no progress on any of the other accounts and I don't get even monthly check in calls anymore. When I have called them to ask questions and get a status on my accounts, they always say "we'll speak to your litigator and call you back". Never get a call back. The last time I left a bad review was the only time I've received an immediate response by a supervisor, who basically denied anyone had lied to me, and my credit would take 48 months to improve. No apology for misinformation, no other follow up - even though I requested they provide all the information we discussed in writing to my email on file. I truly feel like this was the worst choice I could have made when trying to resolve my debt. The part that kills me is I was doing ok - my credit was good. I just felt a bit cash-strapped and wanted to look for a way to reduce my monthly payment and stay on track before it snowballed. I have researched several other companies and will be cancelling my program with Guardian and working with a different company who provides consistent communication, an app and I get to work directly with the litigator for updates. Stay away from Guardian. I feel like I'll be lucky to get even part of my money back from these guys.
