GBBE CAREFUL, THIS IS SCAM! Let me save you some time from my long review and look up the “parent” company ‘Professional Ghost Writer’ reviews on BBB since they go by different aliases. My personal experience: On October 2023, I contracted the services of Oscar Ghostwriting to assist me with editing, publishing, and marketing my book, I did not use their ghostwriting services. I spoke to a sales person who was going under the alias of “Aron Gray” and signed a contract through their online portal and made a down payment. On October 31st, I received another phone call from a different sales person stating that they were running an end of the month special and if I paid a reduced amount from my balance they would consider my project paid in full and not additional payments would be required to fulfill the original amount quoted, I paid and received a receipt. A week later, around November 7th, I received a call from another sales person going under the alias of “Ben Heard” stating that they only offered the book publishing services as an eBook and if I wanted printed versions in paperback and hardcover I would need to pay $1,000 for lifetime printing through the vendors they had a contract with. After going back and forth with him stating that my contract already said the printed versions were included, he mentioned that the ISBN (book serial numbers) were not included in my contract and these were a requirement to publish any book. We agreed upon $550 to cover the ISBN costs and publish the book in three formats: eBook, paperback, and hard cover with lifetime sales support through 12 different vendors. I only received a receipt with the words “Paperback and Hardcover integration” on the notes, but not an updated contract. After calling and messaging him several times, I finally received an email titled “Hardcover Integration” weeks later outlining what the $550 was supposed to cover. At first, the company seemed somewhat legitimate as far as the project management side of things went, they initially provided me with marketing outlines requesting information about the book for the marketing campaign and “designed” book covers that were clearly AI generated and not aligned with the details I provided. This also happened with the AI generated social media content drafts that were submitted for review which didn’t categorize my book properly and didn’t use the information I had provided. Granted, they eventually fixed it and we agreed it was ok for when the marketing campaign started. The editing portion seemed to be going ok at first, my book was already written, and I just needed help with minor editing and formatting for publishing. They communicated with me at first and when I pointed out that the current pace we were moving wouldn’t complete the book by the 3-4 month deadline we agreed upon, they sent me the whole “Completed” formatted book. After thoroughly reviewing the book, I clearly noticed a lot of AI generated content that I didn’t request, since I didn’t hire their ghostwriting services, there were a lot of errors and just overall poor attention to detail. I fixed everything myself and approved my own edits for publication. Throughout this whole process, all departments kept addressing me by the wrong name, even after correcting them multiple times, to the point that my book was published with the incorrect author name and placed under the wrong categories on Amazon which required me to contact Kindle technical support to fix this major flaw since Oscar Ghostwriting wasn’t doing anything about it. They also created a website prototype with the incorrect author name and created generic AI content instead of using the text I provided them. As of February 2024, the book was considered published, but zero marketing had been provided. Per the contract, they were supposed to be marketing my book from the moment it was being written to promote it and take pre-orders, another marketing phase was for the “big” book release, and the last phase after publishing to move the book along the top ranks to reach best-seller status. To this day, the book remains unknown since there’s been zero marketing done for it. I had a lengthy conversation with their “billing manager” and she was trying to make up their failed marketing with additional services but I requested the money back guarantee; they sent me an email stating that I would receive a refund within 4-7 business days. It’s been past that time frame and it’s impossible trying to reach them; the phone numbers listed don’t work, email addresses are fake, the only option is the live chat support who state that someone will call back ASAP but they never do. Beware of these scammers!!!
