Don't waste your money This nightmare began on 2-28-23 with a phone conversation with Clyde D. Smith, a phone salesman for Amazonpublishing profs.com. He told me that for $199 Amazon would produce a book cover (front and back), format the book and sell the book on Amazon in eBook, paperback, and hardcover formats. (For a short limited time only.) (I never received any of this in writing.) After paying my $199 was assigned my first of three Account Managers. He lasted less than a week and was involved in an accident, and my second Account Manager was assigned, and he lasted two or three weeks before they replaced him with my third Account Manager. I was contacted again on 2-28-23, to tell me that they would have to have another $299 for formating, proofing, editing, and formating. I argued vehemently with my then Account Assistant Jennifer Stark that I had already paid for this. She insisted that I did not. But I had no paperwork to support what I had to say, so I paid the additional $299. Then Jennifer became my third Account Rep (she later told me that I was only one of 500 accounts that she was overseeing. I have been fighting with her now for the next five months. I'd send an email and two to 10 days later I'd hear back from her. I received a number of proposed proofs from her. I read them as best I could, but the were so literate and full of misspelled words, mixed up names, and impossible to make heads or tails of what they were saying. It took me more than eight attempts to get them to get the spelling of my name correct. I am not exaggerating when I say that this proofing looked like it was done by a third grader, and clearly not anyone who had English as their first language. That I finally just gave up on it and told her to just publish the damn thing. I wanted my book to measure 4 inchs by 7 inches, but I was told that wasn't possible. (Even though I have owned and do own hundreds to 4 X 7 paperback books. ( They also kept sending these emails in formats that I could not open.) Anyone considering publishing via amzpublishingprofs.com should not expect to deal with anyone that is not a foreigner. The final straw was when I was notified that my books would NOT received Amazon Optimization unless I paid another $1,800. I said no. My book has been live since June 27th, and I have not had even one sale in that time. I only gave them one star is because there is not a negative number of stars available.

I received a text from this company and was treated very abusive unprofessional treatment from the representative I received a text from this company offering there assistance with getting my book published. I had a ton of questions because I wanted to make sure they were legit and they are able to assist me as i needed assistance. the guy ( never gave me his name) so I did not know who I was talking to however he first contacted me on March14, 2023, i responded on that Friday i asked questions and he answered. At first the person was very helpful and patient however I began to ask more questions because I remebered he texted me I did not text him so i wanted to make msure this was a legit company. I asked certain questions to get the response. I told the billing as he states department to call me back at a certain time. I did not a telephone number to call back they said they would call back at 330pm my phone did not ring. The next morning which is today I received a text from this guy that states the billing company said you did not answer when they called. I told the guy i was looking at all the reviews he then got very nasty started calling me a liar told me he could not give me the price he quoted I was shocked like really shocked. I asked he why was he upset because I took a step back to review the company. he then start saying you need to look up another company I will make sure no one here will work with you, no one here is interested with working with you maybe you will not take a lot of time finalizing this time. He said ,I am a dishonest person because the billing system sent him an official email the morning of 4/4/23 telling him they are not able to give authors a call every two hours mind you guys they called me one time in which I was not able to talk because I home school my child and during school hours I'm not available on the phone. I was like wow I only talked to the other person for a hot minute and I asked to call back, well this representative went on to say this is very insulting to him they have recorded calls told me to stop lying and find liars who can work with me and that he will make sure nobody at Amazon Publishing will not deal with me for publishing. I tried to explain that I was researching the company to make sure it was not a scam. His response was HAHA!!! LMAO!! who is calling us a scammer.. We are not willing to work with you and that is very simple to understand, Cheater & Liar, he went on to say Shut Up and get lost. I was very shocked by this response. I could not believe I was actually considering doing business with this company so I told him I was glad he acted the way he did because that confirmed why I was hesitating he again said get lost. I blocked the number because I did not want to deal with anyone that was not professional and insulting. I was very excited to get a company that explained everything to me but I was careful because he sent me an invoice and told me its only an offer for 10 minutes after that 10 minutes I will not be able to use the invoice he sent me. I was confused by that practice normally a company with send you something binding what they have explained terms and conditions but that was not the case. I was confused but relieved that I had not sent this company any money based on how this guy was talking to me. Please know my complaint is based off a texted message this guy never called me, I never spoke to him I asked for the billing department to create a payment plan, I talked to a lady for all of 2 seconds they were suppose to call back they never called there was no missed call nor was there a voicemail. This guy approach to me became very hostile and negative I was then concerned if I had given him any of my personal information. I'm very sadden by this situation, my advise would be not to ever deal with this company based on my experience. I was left with a question mark and a relief that I was glad I had not given them any money.

A very pleasant Journey indeed! It was my pleasure working with this team. Self publishing is a challenging project. However, the team circumnavigated through the formatting details, which are substantial, so I didn't have to spend weeks figuring out the process. Ted's response to questions was swift and always helpful. I recommend Amazon Publishing wholeheartedly.

At first I was overwhelmed and didn’t know where to begin but the team I was assigned helped me every step of the way and made everything seem more attainable.
