When you connect your wallet they gain access to your private key and will drain everything of value from it. We had lost 22,000 previously after a cointool presale IDO but did not link them because the DEV had given us malicious code in the contract anyway. Since then it took 3 months to recover and when we learned to create a private key that would only interact with that site and would not be given to anyone but myself.
