FRVery good site I have been on Viewbug for 3 years, a very good site with high quality photos, community challenges, and contests. There is always something to do and discover

GBVery unhappy member I have been a top 10% contributor for several years but I have decided not to renew my membership. When I joined it was all about gaining points and awards. I accumulated over 4 million points and then the points disappeared and we got "coins". The top prices/rewards needing 80,000 coins were bought straight away although the top person on the leaderboard had at the time only a quarter of that, so I don't know what happened there. I live in the UK and most of the rewards are only applicable to to people living in the US. This is apart from E-books which I find quite basic and of no use to me. I have raised the question as to what is happening with the points on several; occasions, but only ever received a glib answer. I also won a contest several months ago, but I have never received the prize which was a canon lens. I have asked when I will receive my prize time and time again via email, but to-date still haven't received an answer. I received a message on viewbug messages from Ollie who apparently is a co-founder, this was when my membership had lapsed. I have returned his message asking the questions above, but of course never received a reply. This is a sad state of affairs as I liked the camaraderie of the site. But enough is enough.

CAHaving started at the bottom and worked… Having started at the bottom and worked my way up in this profession, I've always encouraged 'beginners' and helped them as best I could. I even wondered if my assistants and/or students wouldn't produce greater pics than me......I really hoped they would!

ITThe best photography site everanage a very lean site with… You manage a very lean site with quality images. The only comment I feel like making is that you enhance very beautiful images but which are often too modified by correction programs. I consider "photograph" the image that comes out of the camera with little modification. Many of the contest-winning images are visually striking but do not represent reality. They become "images" and are no longer "photos". I am a lover of Salgado's photography and therefore you understand well that I don't appreciate too much modified photos. You are still number one! Compliments.

GBGreat community & website tool Great sense of community among photographers. Plenty of contests and chances to interact with other members. The shining feature is the pro membership comes with a website and domain name included. I've kept my account over the years mainly because the website builder is stupid simple and looks great.
