QAHIBY - R6 - Think hard before buying I bought a Hiby R6 several years ago. It didn't work properly when I recieved it. After several weeks of discussions with the company in China they agreed to replace the R6 if I sent the old one back to them. I couldn't do this at the time due to restrictions on postal items from my, then, location. After several more weeks they finally agreed to send me a new R6. The R6 worked for less that 12 months before it started to 'slow down'. Hiby informed me that the original warranty had expired. I have recently looked at the R6 and it appears to have 'expanded' - the front and back panels no longer attach to the steel frame of the device. I am writing this article as I have noticed that Hiby have updated the R6 and I would like to let people know my experience. I am not looking for anything from Hiby - I have long given up on the device and the company. My advice to anyone who is thinking of buying a Hiby is - don't. It may be better to buy a decent phone and listen to music through that, or if you are looking to buy a DAP, maybe try Astell&Kern - I have found their players to be excellent.
