GBNo reduction in penalties or tax due, then spent more and lost an appeal. Timberline worked with me for a very long time. I understand the IRS is slow. We lost our request to get the taxes/penalties for late filings reduced, then they suggested that I appeal. I paid them additional thousands of dollars. We lost. It took literally years. I would say if you have assets, you will not get a reduction on penalties or taxes due...so don't bother spending thousands of dollars on contesting it. Very disappointed that I spend $6,000 on top of a horrendous tax penalty.
