GBLiked the cost, really disliked the experience I appreciated the lower cost and quick responses to emailed requests for help/clarification. However, the answers to my questions were often automated and unclear. For those who have an automatically rebalanced robo-advised account or who buy and sell stocks frequently, be aware that you will need to enter *every single* transaction as a separate 1099-B - very time-consuming! The instructions for this also aren't clear. I had to email twice for clarity. And other details were unclear too, like how to file as a nonresident of a state. I've used TurboTax in the past and really missed the ease of simply logging into my banks and brokerage through TurboTax and having information auto-populate. With Column Tax, be prepared to enter everything by hand. Not sure if I would use this again...

GBErrors on Forms and Obtuse FAQs = Unacceptable Errors on forms ("City" when they mean "County"????) and conflicting answers in their FAQs have made filing this year a nightmare. Never again. I'll just go back to TaxAct

GBGot me a better refund than H&R Block did I had gone in store to a local H&R Block and they had given me an estimate for a refund that was lower than what I got for filing with Column Tax. I did it early with them and they helped me get credits that I otherwise wouldn’t have. It was pretty fast too!

GBFirst time user First time user. Saw recommendation via nerdwallet. Paid for service. Website reported “technical difficulties” every time I tried to file my taxes so now I couldn’t use their service to file my taxes. Deadline was approaching so I filed with a different service (TurboTax). Requested a refund. Still haven’t received one.
Great experience
GBI filed early with Column Tax via my… I filed early with Column Tax via my bank and it was a great experience. The process was really straightforward and support was great. Will definitely use them in years to come.
