GBSimple and fair While liquidating a business I found a box of leftover currency from foreign trips employees had taken over the years. Most of it consisted of obsolete bills that were no longer legal tender and could only be exchanged at the central bank in the issuing country. I was relieved to learn that I could mail these to FCCE for exchange at rates it publishes on line. The discount was reasonable in light of the service performed. The owner was friendly and easy to communicate with. The process was fast and convenient. U.S. dollars appeared in my account the day the bills arrived.

SIExcellent! Hi. I was for starters honestly surprised that someone had actually thought of all us travellers that come back home with foreign currency leftovers - which nobody at home would exchange and which usually end up in a forgotten box in some place or the other. Foreign Currency And Exchange provides an excellent service with clear instructions, so that I was able to send them my mixture of leftover currencies with payment precalculated and done immedeatelly after my package was delievered. Eventhough they are located in the USA, postal costs weren't too high and I actually got a nice sum for my leftover currencies. So, thanks for your service! Same badly needed in Europe as well! GBI was able to exchange the Kuna A++ I was able to exchange the Kuna before they phased it out. The process seemed to easy to be true, but literally, just sent them the currency, they received it and deposited the monies into my account the same day. The only hiccup, you can't use usps (with tracking), must use UPS or some other way of sending monies.

GBProbably the best/only mail-in option available One gift card that I sent was not credited. The rest of the currency, coins and cards were properly exchanged and the total was promptly deposited into my bank account. I followed up twice, hoping to clear up what happened. I never got a response. According to the order form that I submitted, the item was a $10 gift card worth $5, so it wasn't a huge deal, but I would have appreciated some explanation, like 1) We don't accept that kind of card anymore, 2) There was something wrong with the card, or 3) Whoops, we'll take another look and get back to you. This is a really unique service so I wanted it to be useful, but I can't strongly recommend that people put a lot of trust in it. I'd be reluctant to use it again. Definitely read the ENTIRE website like I did. As the owner recommends, always send money using a service with tracking numbers. I will add: photograph everything you send, and don't send large amounts in one order...just in case something is lost. If you have a big jar of random coins and currency that's collecting dust, this might be worth a try. You don't have much to lose. I liked being able to send gift cards that I wasn't likely to use.
