Slowest way to send money to India - I will never recommend to anyone! Cons: 1) No customer support phone number 2) Money will be taken from your bank account but will not be in your India account for days and days and days.... 3) Watch out for the exchange rate... It might be higher but you land up paying 2.99 fee + service tax for every transaction :) Pros: 1) Website "looks like" a professional one! but can irritate you quickly when you start using the website.

Dont fall prey to their false promises I had a very bad experience with this site. even after verifying my local bank account , it took 11 working days ( a total of 16 days) to see my amount transferred to India. and guess what, i got the lowest of rates prevailing in those 16 days which was way off what was shown on the site even on the transfer day. to add to this, there was a transfer fee of 2.99 and then local taxes during transfer. in all, i got the worst possible rate when compared with all the other similar services. I also tried talking to their customer care center multiple times to see if they could resolve the issue and give a proper excuse. They said that they might take off the transfer fee but that never happened. I have used quite few services and I surely regard this as the worst. they get their profits based on false communications and wrong information published on the site. Dont fall prey to their maligned tactics. Other sites are much better than this on in terms of transfer fee, exchange rate and customer care.

Did not get the indicated amount The exchange rate was higher but the amount that I received is less due to the service tax and other things. I have used many services prior to RemitLite but always got the amount as shown, whereas here I lost almost 1 INR per USD.

High Quote Low Payout These guys quote you the highest transfer rate, but they do deposit when they feel the rate has dropped upon their profit, then they bug the heck out of you (sometimes calling 3x a day) to quote rates. I had a one time send of money and now a lifetime headache of marketing calls...arrrrrr

easy to use. Clear. Convenient. Remitlite . I'm indian, grew up in india but live in USA. Which means I have to pay doctors/dentist bills, loans in india, when I first time travel to USA I need a some et money urgently and it happens often enough that I have to send some money to a friend that lives in USA to settle my "debts" with them... and thanks to Remitlite I can do this now without paying high fees/bad rates to banks and wasting time queuing in branches.
